Volunteers Ken, Anton and Simon visited the block recently with committee member Peter to improve the farmhouse/research and education centre.
Peter and Simon worked hard on the water catchment and piping system. They made trenches to bury the pipes and improved the water catchment inflow supplying the tanks with an automatic diversion system to dust and vegetation in the system.
Anton and Ken, a tradesman who donated his skills and tools, took on finishing one of the partially renovated rear bedrooms. This involved conducting ceiling repairs, adding door and window architraves, skirting boards and ceiling cornice, filling gyprock, sanding and painting. It was a big task, and BBG are very thankful for their generous contribution.
The team also found the time to enjoy a stroll through the granite and woodland and see a beautiful foggy sunrise from the farmhouse.
