2nd half of 1st systematic fauna trapping survey
The second half of the first systematic trapping session at the conservation property continued, yielding a great diversity of species! A rain system moved through on a couple of days bringing out the frogs; BBG recorded five species from the pitfall traps represented by genuses Heleioporus, Pseudophryne and Neobatrachus. Skinks (Ctenotus), two snake species (a blindsnake and a Suta) and additional little long-tailed dunnarts were also captured.
Traps were closed and covered after the last day, to be reopened when we run the traps again in 2026. Read about the first half here.
